Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepares materials and equipment purchase lists and specifications based on the requirements (mechanical and electrical spare parts)
  • Meets and coordinates with the other technical groups in the organization for the determination and finalization of their materials and equipment requirements.
  • Looks for the best possible sources in quality and cost (price), of these materials locally and internationally.
  • Evaluates prices and other terms and conditions of purchase for needed materials and equipment.
  • Communicates with all possible suppliers of materials and equipment through ordinary mail, email, faxes, and telephone calls.
  • Prepares all documents and materials needed for the purchase of materials and equipment.
  • Prepares reports of these purchases for Management.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Electrical Engineering/Industrial/ Mechanical/Business Studies/Management or equivalent.
  • With at least 4 years of experience specializing in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.
  • Demonstrates a pro-active approach to problem-solving with a strong decision-making capability.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Can work under pressure and high-stress environment
